The Barcelona Zoo has a variety of native and exotic species, many of which are endangered, such as mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds.
In the Zoo it occupies more than 14 hectares within the Ciutadella Park. It is a centenary zoo, since it was inaugurated in 1892 in the enclosures that had hosted the Universal Exhibition of 1888.
The walk through the Barcelona Zoo also includes modernist treasures such as the fountain-sculpture Dama del Paraigües (Lady of the Umbrella) of 1885, and also picnic areas, restaurants and bars.

How to get?
The Barcelona Zoo is located in the Parque de la Ciudadela of Barcelona and has two entrances: one by the same Parque de la Ciudadela and the other by the street Wellington, next to the Paseo de Circunvalación.
