The Poble Espanyol, or Spanish Village, is one of the city’s most popular visitor attractions. It was built in 1929 for the International Exhibition, on the mountain of Montjuïc, as a synthesis of Spanish architecture, handicrafts and cultural wealth. And resembles an actual village with replicas of 117 real-life scale buildings from different Spanish regions.
